Originally from Guatemala, Alejandro “Tico” Mendoza is an Austin-based photographer and videographer.
Growing up in Guatemala, Tico developed an interest in photography at a very early age... Still in Guatemala as a young adult, Tico founded a graphic design studio, providing branding and marketing solutions. This design background allows him to approach every project with a unique visual strategy, whether he is capturing Business Headshots or complex Brand Activations.
In 2013, Tico moved to Austin and began capturing the local music scene and major cultural gatherings. This evolution eventually led to his specialization in Austin Corporate Event Photography , where he provides high-end coverage for conferences and professional summits.
In 2018, Tico transitioned to full-time photography. Today, he focuses on high-impact Editorial Portraits that help professionals and artists define their visual identity.

Yes. Even though photo and video production takes up most of time, I still work on graphic design by helping startups with their branding, and any visual requirements for established companies.

Yes I do. It is not my main focus, but I do roughly 2 weddings a year. I love them, especially because of their fast-paced environment and no second chances to get the shots. You have to think fast.

Yes. I am also a musician and play the keyboards. I have my own music project called The Jambo Experience. I create experimental music with synthesizers, drum machines and sequencers.
